Ben has lead instrumental and creative workshops for children from KS1 through to KS5. These have included the overseeing of planning and delivery of instrumental days; ensemble courses for all abilities; summer school courses and projects; as well as composition and improvisation workshops working with children of all age ranges. He received training from the London Symphony Orchestra discovery department working with KS2 children, and KS3 children with SEND.

He has designed and presented classical music concerts for primary schools working with a variety of different ensembles.

Ben has a wealth of experience in different school settings.  He currently works with primary schools in London and the South East teaching music to classes from EYFS - KS2; advising on and designing curriculum; coaching teaching staff to deliver music; and leading childrens choirs and ensembles.

He has also worked as a peripatetic woodwind teacher, delivering individual and small group lesson, as well as planning and leading whole class first access schemes.

Ben regularly leads training and INSET sessions for schools and PGCE students. These have included full day creative workshops; singing sessions; curriculum/lesson planning and delivery; Integrating knowledge into practical music sessions and forming cross-curricular links.

Ben teaches the flute privately at his home in East Sussex.  He is experienced in teaching all ages and abilities.
